She Did It Again!

Status

Astraea did it again! We got an ultrasound today, and we got the same estimation as the last litter (12-14), and it ended up being 16. The due date is May 15. These pups are all reserved, but if this litter is successful, we may have room open up for Rye’s litter, which we are guessing might be in the Fall or possibly late summer. We do still have room for Guardian Families, and we’re hoping to find a few in Colorado, Wyoming, or Montana. We’ll still consider families from out of state if they are willing to travel. Congratulations to the families who have reserved one of these pups. It should be another exciting whelping experience!

Moving Along

Status

Astraea’s pregnancy confirmation ultrasound is scheduled for April 15th, and her litter is fully reserved with several backup families waiting hopefully for extra pups to be born. We still have room for guardian families specifically located in Wyoming, but until we finish closing on our new house, we won’t have a location that shows up on Google. Everyone is doing great with their training, and we’re excited about the big move. For those that have been waiting specifically for a litter from Rye, will you please text me? I would like to get you on an organized list that is ready to go after Astraea gives birth. I think it’s going to fill up quickly, and I would like to know who is still interested and willing to travel. Happy Easter!

So Much Change

Status

Hello! We have some major updates. Astraea went into heat last week, and we bred her to Tucker from Creed Goldens. Whiskey needs more time for his joints to grow, so we hope to use his half brother this year as a stud for Rye. I also had to have emergency back surgery due to a herniated disc, and Zach got a job in Casper, Wyoming… of all places. His current company is going bankrupt because of Covid. We did not expect to be moving out of the Dallas area, and this has been one of the craziest weeks we’ve ever had. The Summer litter should be ready to go home around the second week in July, if the pregnancy is successful. We are willing to meet families at the Denver International Airport for this litter. We gave everyone who had already submitted a deposit the option to back out because of the added travel, and a few did want their deposit back. We now have room for a few more families, so if you are interested and willing to travel, please let me know. Check out our Planned Litter page to see pictures and links to the studs’ information.

Astraea 2021 Deposits Filled

Status

I would like to announce that the deposits for Astraea’s next litter were filled on Saturday. As always, there may be more pups born than the deposits that we have allowed to be made pre- birth, so watch for special announcements. We do have room for one more guardian family on that specific litter as well. We will be scheduling Whiskey and Rye’s health tests soon, and that will determine if we will breed them. Please make sure to check your spam and star or prioritize emails from us in some way if you happen to check this blog manually. Some people are receiving emails in their spam instead of their inbox, and this causes a delay in receiving important information. Thank you!

Astraea’s 2021 Litter Deposit Opening

Status

Deposits are officially opening! We will be scheduling video/phone interviews for deposit slots for Astraea’s 2021 litter for this Saturday afternoon 1-4:30pm. If you would like an interview, please text me your name along with your availability and indicate whether you would like a phone or a video chat. The interviews will be limited to 15 minutes, so please have all your questions written out and ready to go before interviews start. The stud will be dark and health tested, and will most likely be Tucker from Creed Goldens or our Whiskey. I will call people as I’m able to as closely to the order that they texted me as possible. These interviews will only be available to people who have previously filled out a puppy application and have been approved to proceed with the deposit process. They will have my number because I’ve texted them before. We may schedule another block of interviews if there is a need to, but we’re going to start with just Saturday. We’ve received over 200 applications since November, and I have no way of knowing who is still interested and ready to put down a deposit. Again, please text me your name and your availability for Saturday afternoon (1/30/21) and indicate whether you would like a phone or video chat as soon as you are able to. Thank you!

Last Minute Backup List

The latest video is up on our YouTube channel for those interested. As puppy pickup is drawing closer, we have decided to create a backup list of people interested in a puppy in case any emergencies should happen to our current clients. We have over 70 applications stored right now, but I have no idea which of them followed my suggestion to subscribe to our website, and which of them have decided not to wait for a pup from us. If you’re reading this and are interested in being on the backup list for our most recent litter, here are the requirements.

1.You must fill out or have filled out our puppy application

2. You must be ready and able to come get a puppy on the evening of December 20th at 6pm

3. You need to contact me for a phone interview

We don’t expect anything to happen, but holidays are crazy!

Rye’s First Heat

Our pretty girl Rye just started her first heat cycle today! She and Whiskey got swabbed for their genetic tests, and those results should be back in a couple weeks. She will begin her preliminary health testing in February, and we will know whether she looks like a good candidate for our breeding program. The Halloween babies have their eyes open, and are starting to walk around. They received their first dose of dewormer yesterday, and they are starting to get a little chunky finally. We’ll be posting video or pictures of them later.
