We have some very big news! Mocha and Rye both went into heat early at the same time again! We’ve consulted their veterinarian, and we were encouraged to breed them. This means we could have puppies going home a little earlier than we expected if the pregnancies take! We hope to breed around this weekend. The puppies would be due around May 25th, and they would go home around July 20th. We have room for reservations for both of those litters. Some other big news is that Ashlee Dyer is also pregnant and due in September. It’s going to be a busy summer!

Jasper and Henry Health Results
Status
Jasper and Henry both completed their final x-rays for their hips and elbows, and they did great! Everything is good to go for their planned breedings this year! We found and fixed a few errors on their k9data pages, so the results can now be seen via their pedigrees which can be accessed via the labeled buttons under their profiles on our website.
Both Litters Reserved
Status
Rye and Mocha’s litters have been completely reserved. We have space on the backup list in case any of our families have to give up their reservation, and we have two guardianship opportunities. Please let us know if you’re interested in guardianship or being on the backup list!
Puppies Are Here!
Status
We have a had a harrowing last few days. Rye started delivery puppies on Thursday and continued to have them until Friday. Mocha started delivery on Friday after Rye was finished, so these puppies will share the same due date on paper. There were some complications with Rye’s litter, and we lost a few puppies. As it stands at the moment (provided everyone stays healthy and thriving), there are 12 girls and 5 boys. All the boys are reserved, but we have space for 3 female reservations. Congratulations to the new families that are waiting for these babies. They are cute!

Puppy Count!
Status
Rye and Mocha had their puppy count x-rays completed today. Mocha is showing 8 pups, and Rye is showing 11-12! If all goes well, we expect to have a few more reservations available. We’ll release male and female availability after the birth! Next Friday is the due date!
Bell’s Heat
Status
Bell’s heat came in 2-3 months earlier than we expected. Her due date would have been right around Christmas Day, so we decided to skip this heat. We hope to breed her on her next cycle which will probably be around April, which would mean puppies might be going home around July 2024. We will announce the date for the puppy count x-ray for Mocha and Rye next Thursday!
2 Pregnancies Confirmed!
Status
Mocha and Rye had ultrasounds today, and both of them are pregnant! There were multiple heartbeats found in both uteruses! We are going to have an exciting holiday season! Pre-birth limited reservations are now open. Please text us if you would like to proceed with the reservation process!
Ultrasound is Scheduled
Status
Mocha and Rye have an ultrasound scheduled for Friday 13! There have been a few signs of pregnancy, but dogs can have completely false pregnancies that look like the real thing, so we don’t rely on the external behaviors or signs. It’s really difficult to avoid getting our hopes up while we wait!
Texas Travel Plans
Status
We are still waiting to see if Mocha and Rye are pregnant, but we have made plans to transport the majority of the pups to Texas for the pickup day (January 13th). This will help us navigate weather most effectively. This coming week, we will schedule the ultrasound, and we will hopefully announce the ultrasound date next Thursday!
Successful Breedings
Status
This past weekend, both Rye and Mocha were successfully bred. Rye refused to accept Whiskey, so we progesterone tested and used two different methods to artificially inseminate her with Whiskey over the span of a few days. Mocha had a great time with Henry, and he appeared to do his job well without extra assistance. We will schedule ultrasounds to take place mid to late October to see if the breedings produced any puppies. If there are pups, they will be due around November 18, and they will go home around January 13. We are currently discussing the logistics of driving both litters to Texas so we can better navigate weather issues. If you are a “Texas pickup only” applicant, and thought a Bell/Jasper litter was the only option for you, just know some of these pups might be coming to Texas even though they will be born in Wyoming. Happy almost Autumn!
