Pre-birth Deposits

We have 9 puppies that are expected at birth, but we only accept 3 male pre-birth deposits and 3 female pre- birth deposits. The male pre-birth deposits are full at this time (but there may be more than 3 boys born), and there is 1 female pre-birth deposit left for those interested. Since there are nine clearly defined pups, we will be accepting 3 extra pre-birth deposits that are not gender specific. Gender preferences may be requested for the the extra pre-birth deposits, but these deposits will only be accepted for families who would love having either gender in their home.

TCI Breeding Today

We’ve been progesterone testing for the past few weeks now, and today was finally the day for breeding! We successfully completed a transcervical insemination at Josey Ranch Pet Hospital. Everything went smoothly, and we have an ultrasound scheduled for January 3rd to confirm the pregnancy. The tentative due date for the puppies is February 5th, and the pups should be able to go home the last weekend in March. We have one female and one male pre-birth deposit left for those interested. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!!

Progesterone Test #2

Carmel had her breeding exam completed yesterday and a second progesterone test. She passed with flying colors, and she even has a nice little bit of extra chunk to help grow and fatten those puppies. We made quite the trip out of it! We walked around Home Depot and got lots of pets beforehand. She’s still pulling low numbers which means we still have some time before we breed. We accepted another female deposit, so we have 1 female pre-birth deposit left and 2 males. We’ll probably have another update tomorrow for her progesterone! This is always an exciting time!

The Process has Begun!

Carmel is officially in heat. We’ll begin progesterone testing soon to figure out the best date for breeding. It looks like it might happen right around Thanksgiving. We’re loving the new website, but we’re still working out kinks. If you notice a typo or something on the menu isn’t working, please let us know, and we’ll get it fixed as soon as possible. Yay for puppy season!
